Residents of Agege Local Government Area in Lagos State are expressing alarm over rising insecurity following a broad daylight robbery by hoodlums. A video obtained by Lagos Reporters shows a young man being robbed while passersby hurriedly avoid the scene, fearful of being targeted themselves.

“This is the height of insecurity that has taken over Agege,” a resident lamented, noting that many citizens now fear leaving their homes for even basic errands.

Sources suggest that some of the hoodlums operate under the protection of politicians, allowing them to carry out such acts with impunity, further worsening the security situation in the area.
