As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State prepares for its next phase of leadership, one name continues to stand tall — Rt.-Hon. Tunji Odeyemi, a man whose political journey reflects loyalty, experience, and resilience.

For 25 unbroken years, Odeyemi has remained steadfast in the PDP, distinguishing himself as one of the few leaders who never wavered, never defected, and never compromised his commitment to the party.

His service record speaks volumes: he served as a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, rose to become its Speaker, and at a crucial time in the state’s history, held the position of Acting Governor, steering the ship with maturity and calm leadership. Beyond that, he also served as the Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission, where his administrative acumen further came to light.

Political observers say his enduring loyalty is rare in an era when many politicians switch parties for convenience. For Odeyemi, the PDP has remained home — a platform he has defended and nurtured for a quarter of a century.
