INEC WARNS: DOUBLE PVC REGISTRATION IS A CRIME

INEC has cautioned Nigerians against registering for a PVC more than once, saying it’s a criminal offence punishable by fine, jail, or both under the Electoral Act 2022.

Bayelsa REC, Isah Shaka Ehimeakhe, said INEC’s biometric system will detect double entries and flagged offenders will be prosecuted.

He urged those who’ve already registered to avoid repeating it, while encouraging eligible Nigerians who haven’t to take part in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration.
