Dear Honorable Chief Oshati,
The Owo and Ose Development Forum writes to you in the spirit of democratic engagement, guided by the principles of inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability, to seek clarification on matters of collective concern affecting Ose Constituency
The Forum is a coalition of enlightened and civic-minded individuals who are deeply committed to the political, social, and economic development of the people of Owo and Ose Federal Constituency. As an active platform, we serve as a bridge between political officeholders and the people, fostering participatory governance and good leadership.
This letter serves as a sincere and timely inquiry into your stewardship at the Ondo State House of Assembly, with the aim of reviewing ongoing efforts and identifying areas for greater impact and improved representation.
It is public knowledge widely circulated across social media platforms that the Ondo State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, released the sum of ₦25 million to each member of the Ondo State House of Assembly for constituency projects. As concerned citizens and advocates for good governance, we respectfully request clarity on how the funds allocated to your office were utilized in the interest of the people of Oso Constituency. Transparency on this matter is crucial for sustaining public trust and confidence in your leadership.
In addition, we would appreciate your position regarding the recent proposal for the creation of “Ose State”, a motion brought before the National Assembly by Hon. Ife Ehindero. Given the potential long-term implications of this proposal for our people, it is important that we understand your stance on this pressing and widely discussed issue.
Furthermore, we wish to raise our concerns regarding legislative performance and representation. To the best of our knowledge, no bill has been proposed or sponsored by your office since your assumption of office two years ago. While we acknowledge other forms of political engagement, legislative performance remains a critical metric for evaluating impact. We are hopeful that the remaining years of your current tenure will reflect a renewed commitment to proposing people-centered policies and pursuing visible legislative actions that directly benefit our constituency.
