Nigerian Governor reshuffles cabinet

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has approved a minor reshuffle in his cabinet to improve governance and boost administrative effectiveness.

The announcement was made during Monday’s State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House in Abakaliki. Addressing members of the council, Nwifuru urged them to reflect on their past performance and rededicate themselves to achieving the administration’s development objectives.

According to the new cabinet arrangement, Jude Chikadibia Okpor, formerly the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, has been moved to the Ministry of Rural Development.

Aikeuwa Omebeh, who previously oversaw the Ministry of Rural Development, will now serve as the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation.

Paul Awo Nwobasi, who had been managing the Ministry of Education (Primary and Secondary), has been redeployed to head the Ministry of Border Peace and Conflict Resolution.

Donatus Ilang, previously in charge of the Ministry of Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, has been reassigned to take over the Ministry of Education (Primary and Secondary).

Governor Nwifuru urged the newly reassigned commissioners to bring fresh commitment to their roles and ensure they deliver results that will positively impact the lives of Ebonyi residents.
