Beer, Spirits Linked to Higher Pancreatic Cancer Risk – WHO Study

A new WHO-backed study has found that alcohol consumption, especially beer and spirits, raises the risk of pancreatic cancer. Analyzing data from 2.5 million people worldwide, researchers found a 3% increased risk per 10g of alcohol consumed daily, with heavier drinkers facing up to 36% higher risk.

The study confirms alcohol as an independent risk factor, regardless of smoking.
