A 21-year-old graduate identified as Kachi has reportedly died after allegedly consuming fake alcohol while attending the NYSC orientation camp in Isele-Uku, Delta State.
According to posts shared by his friends on social media, Kachi had been deployed to the camp as part of the National Youth Service Corps programme before he reportedly consumed the alcohol.
A social media user who identified Kachi as a coursemate alleged that he d+ed from alcohol poisoning, describing his death as avoidable.
The incident has sparked concerns over the production and distribution of adulterated alcoholic drinks, with some Nigerians calling for stronger action against the sale of fake products.
