2027: South-East Will Repay Tinubu with Votes for Infrastructure Projects — APC Vice Chairman
Says South East Will Reciprocate President Tinubu’s Infrastructure in the Region

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares to formally flag off its 2027 national presidential campaign in Kaduna State, the party’s National Vice Chairman (South-East), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has declared that the people of the South-East will reciprocate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s massive infrastructure investments in the zone by delivering strong electoral support for his re-election.
The APC Presidential Campaign Council is set for its inaugural meeting on 14 October 2026 at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, with the official campaign flag-off scheduled for 24 October 2026 in Kaduna State.
The campaign will subsequently move across the country, including key stops in the South-East.
Speaking in the context of the party’s mobilisation drive and the region’s endorsement of the President, Dr. Arodiogbu emphasised that the South-East has already begun to benefit from the Renewed Hope Agenda through deliberate federal efforts to close long-standing infrastructure gaps.
He noted that President Tinubu’s administration has prioritised critical projects across Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States, including major road dualisations, the revival of the Eastern rail corridor, airport upgrades, and the South-East Development Commission. These interventions, he said, represent a clear break from past marginalisation and demonstrate inclusive governance.
_“The South-East declares its unalloyed, total and unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our sole and undisputed presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections,” Dr. Arodiogbu stated in a communiqué issued after a stakeholders’ meeting of South-East APC leaders._
_“We commend the significant strides recorded under his administration, especially the focused efforts to bridge long-standing infrastructural gaps in the South-East, the elevation of our sons and daughters to key national positions, and his demonstrated commitment to inclusive governance.”_
The National Vice Chairman stressed that the region’s support is rooted in reciprocal politics. Having received substantial federal attention in infrastructure and appointments, the people of the South-East are now ready to mobilise and deliver bloc votes for the President and the APC in 2027.
South-East APC governors and leaders, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, and Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, have similarly affirmed that the ongoing projects such as the dualisation of the Enugu-Abakaliki Road, the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, the Calabar-Ebonyi-Benue Trans-Saharan Superhighway, and other major corridors provide a strong foundation for the region’s political alignment with the centre.
As the national campaign flag-off approaches, Dr. Arodiogbu called on party structures, traditional institutions, women, youth, and professional groups across the five South-East states to intensify grassroots mobilisation.
He expressed confidence that the region’s appreciation of the infrastructure dividends under President Tinubu will translate into decisive electoral victory for the APC in 2027.
