Owo Attack : Abiola Oshodi Commiserate with Catholic Church, Owo Kingdom
An aspirant in the just concluded Owo/Ose Federal Constituency primary election, Dr Abiola Oshodi, has received with rude shock, the gruesome killings of worshippers of Catholic Church Owoluwa, Owo .
Dr Abiola Oshodi Commiseration was contained in a statement released to our heritage reporter dully signed by Mr. Sola Ogunmolasuyi.
The incident, according to report, unknown gun men used explosive devices occasioned by sporadic shooting which left many dead and scores people at critical condition at virtually all the medical facilities in Owo.
According to the medical doctor turned politician, “it is sad that the lives of an average Nigerian is worth less than that of a chicken. It is high time government changed gear in the security arrangements of the country. Without which, Nigeria will remain a laughing stock before the entire world.
While sympathising with the Monarch of the town, Imperial Majesty Oba Gbadedesin Ogunoye III, Dr Oshodi urged the first class Oba not to be discouraged by the recent insecurity situations in the ancient city but charged him to improve efforts in strengthening local vigilante groups in the town to complement the efforts of the conventional security agencies.
He prayed God to grant the families of the decease the fortitude to overcome this trying period of the loss of their loved ones while also wishing those wounded speedy recovery.
