First Muslim Friday prayers held at converted ancient Church

TEXT:
2 Kings 2:23-24 KJV.
“And he went up from thence unto Beth–el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head”.
[24] “And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them”.

MESSAGE
☆☆☆ There is something very important that God wants us to learn from the above 2 verses of the scripture.
☆☆☆ In Joshua 6:26, Joshua placed a curse upon Jericho. This made the water of Jericho to be bad and the land barren.
☆☆☆ In 2 Kings 2:19-22, the men in the city of Jericho, cried unto Elisha and he removed the curse.
☆☆☆ Can you now imagine this same prophet of God, who just removed a curse placed upon Jericho, now placing a curse on little children!!
☆☆☆ Surprisingly, the next prophetic task carried out by prophet Elisha, after removing the curse placed upon the city of Jericho; was to place another curse on young children.

☆☆☆ Parents, please warn your children to know how to relate with elders. The bible recorded that those children mocked Elisha.
☆☆☆ Beloved, I tell you, there are men of God and there men of God. Please be careful who you allow to lay hands upon your head.
☆☆☆ Am not saying that Elisha was evil, afterall the bible says, he cursed them in the name of the Lord.
☆☆☆ I just wonder how the same mouth that just blessed a whole city could at the same time be cursing little children!!

☆☆☆ Let’s now see the position of the bible concerning this👇

“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be” – James 3:10.

☆☆☆ Beloved, no man is perfect, however, if you find the following traits in the life of your own prophet, please run👇

1. Unforgiving spirit.

✓✓ Some ministers of God can preach several beautiful messages on forgiveness and they themselves will never forgive others. A man who cannot forgive will surely take vengeance, forgetting that vengeance is of God. Read Deuteronomy 32:35; Romans 12:19; Hebrews 10:30.

2. Temperament or Anger.

✓✓ When you see some men of God or prophets who easily get angry, you will wonder if actually they are children of God. Please note that anger is a vice that can destroy anyone.
✓✓ That was what stopped Moses from entering the land of Canaan. The bible says be angry but sin not, don’t allow the sun to set on your anger. Read Ephesians 4:26; Psalm 4:4.

3. Love of money.

✓✓ This was what ruined the ministry of Gehazi. Gehazi was on his way to getting the double portion of the anointing of God upon Elisha but he missed it. Read 2 Kings 5:20-27.
✓✓ Beloved, you need to be careful of any man of God who places too much emphasis on money. A so called prophet of God will ask you to fast and pray because of certain challenges in your life. If he discovers that you can’t fast, he will ask you to mobilize him (give him money) to do the fasting on your behalf.
✓✓ The bible says their belly is their God. Read Philippians 3:19.
Once again, the bible declares: The love of money is the root of all evils. Read 1 Timothy 6:10.

4. Freely pronounces curses.

✓✓ I learnt of a prophet of God, quite anointed but when he’s angry, curses flow freely from his mouth. ✓✓ There was a time he went for a program, he finished ahead of the usual time, by the time he got back to his car, his driver was not to be found. He was so angry that when the young man (driver) surfaced, who said he went to eat; the prophet cursed him, cursed his parents and his generation.
✓✓ The bible queries 👇

“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be”.
[11] “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter”?
[12] “Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh” – James 3:10-12.

5. If you suspect any strange anointing in him.

✓✓ Beloved, it is not compulsory that somebody must fall, as a proof that a man of God is anointed. As a matter of fact, how many people, of those that Jesus Christ ministered to, fell under the anointing?
✓✓ I am not saying that it is wrong if somebody falls under the anointing but let God be the one to decide on those who need to go to his spiritual theatre.
✓✓ A lot of people have been misled and caged through this must fall syndrome. I read the story of a minister who went somewhere to minister. He needed to use the restroom before his ministration and his host directed him to his personal restroom. Later, while the guest minister was ministering, each time he made gestures by pointing towards the direction of the congregation, people on that side would fall. At a point, he pointed towards the altar where his host was sitting and he too fell under the ‘anointing’.
✓✓ At the end of the program, his host asked the guest minister if he used the oil in the restroom when he went to use the toilet and the man said yes. You know the rest of the story.
✓✓ No wonder the bible says👇

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come” – 2 Timothy 3:1.

PRAYERS
1. Oh God my father, please grant me the grace to trust in you and in you only.
2. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh, please help me Lord.
3. Oh God my father, please send me my own prophet Elijah, like you did for the woman of Zarephath.
4. Father, don’t allow me to offend anyone who does not have the spirit of forgiveness.
5. Oh God my father, please guide my children and don’t allow them to misuse their tongues in error.
6. Father, I cancel and separate myself from every curse, known and unknown, placed upon my generation.
7. According to Numbers 23:23, I am blessed of the Lord, there is no enchantment or any divination against me and my family that will stand.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray for you today and I decree, your mouth shall not become the source of your own death in Jesus name.
I pray for parents, your children will not offend those who do not have the spirit of forgiveness in Jesus name.
May your footsteps and those of your family and children be guided and directed by the holy spirit in Jesus name.
If you step out when evil is lurking around, I decree, the presence of God will overshadow you in Jesus name.
I stand as the prophet of the Most High God to decree, every curse placed upon your life is cancelled now in Jesus name.
Every negative pronouncement against your life is hereby reversed.
Your mouth shall not become the fountain of evil but only that of good in Jesus name.
Out of your mouth shall flow songs of praises and testimonies in Jesus name.
