Truck crashes into building, reportedly kills one child in Osun

A truck loaded with goods crashed into a building full of children in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

According to a circulating video online, the trailer crashed through the house, destroying it. One of the bystanders claimed children were in the house when the truck crashed into it. He also said one of the children died in the incident.

It is unclear if the driver fled the accident scene or was apprehended.

Accidents are increasing on many roads in Nigeria, often resulting in deaths and injuries. Some stakeholders have blamed the recurrence on poor driver training, while others have blamed it on poor government regulation.
