I have continually read with political coloration the opinions of adversaries, adjudging the involvement of President Tinubu in the Rivers imbroglio as needless and irresponsible. I equally with rapt concern decode the insignia of the former Governor of Lagos state, and senior advocate of Nigeria, Raji Fashola, describing the methodological approach to solving disputes by the President as probably inimical or, closely related with a busy bodied boss. He might not have intended the description, the body language has been quite antagonistic of what the president is currently doing to bring all crisis under check and control.

However, politicians might find the recent approach of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu strange in the exercise of duties and obligations ascribed to his office. They might even marvel at the manner he seem to have easy access and penetrating effects on these political interests of various degrees, sizes and shapes. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has only recently displayed his exceptional attributes in the South South and South West with Ondo and Rivers state. He is equally known to have championed this unusual feat and courage many times in the Northern parts of Nigeria. How politicians now find it strange to distill and evaluate the character of Asiwaju’s dexterity in keeping Nigeria as one amazes most of the onlookers watching with unlikely comments or, precision for arguments.

Significantly, this current moves to round up various but divided interests, and consolidate or, synchronise and perhaps harmonize them into one fold gradually describes President Tinubu as not only influential, but also potentially powerful in his interventionist approach to resolving crisis. Politicians must therefore note that the moment requires peace, unity & progress. Nigeria is on the edge, fragile & near extinction. Hence, the President must seek to achieve imperatives in the manner he approached Ondo state’s impasse and bringing resolution on table with all parties in a meeting of the minds; Pouring out their minds to find lasting solutions.

In the most recent development, Rivers state is also not exclusive of this benefits from a benevolent President & leadership. The hope that this approach going forward might likely address anticipated political crises to keep the country united, strong and peaceful. In negotiation or, mediation, you will always have parties shifting grounds and ending up a win- win situation. If you therefore think otherwise like Dr. Reuben Abati, Mr. Raji Fashola, SAN and others, including the man in charge of the famous Ovation Magazine that the badly behaved be left to destruction or, perhaps, endless litigation in court, we otherwise concede to this approach of the President. We might like to investigate if this offends any Law or, the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Law are man and not otherwise vice versa.

We expect that patriotic minds like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose fundamental obligation as provided for in the 1999 constitution (as amended) is to keep Nigeria indissoluble & individual among other duties incidental and corresponding his office as the President would continue to ensure this avowed provisions are kept sacrosanct against odds.

Presumably, the President have been more responsible and not feigning ignorance of these crises hence the “emilokan approach” to keep conducts under check and agree through a mechanism known as Alternative Dispute Resolution in resolving disputes. In the events that politicians have contrary opinions, they are free to suggests a more effective approach than the workable process currently keeping everyone in check (including the alleged vicious Minister) against needless crises and the obvious probabilities of violence, unrest or, war.

Nigeria is greater than each federating states and no reasonable and responsible President would encourage crisis and promote violence even when it favours his interests or, the political interests of partisan politics. Right now, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated patriotism in leadership and rather than condemnable criticisms, we must all come in appreciation of Tinubu’s commitment to salvage festering political problems that may plunder the country into doom.
