State Government set To Hire 3,000 New Civil Servants
The Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the recruitment of 3,000 new workers into its civil service.
The announcement was made on Monday and the process will be carried out online through the ARISE Youth Employment Portal.
Governor Umo Eno gave the approval for the recruitment, which will cut across several fields such as education, health, law, engineering, agriculture, science, and administration.
The aim is to improve public service delivery and provide jobs for the youth in the state.
Interested candidates are expected to create profiles on the employment portal and upload their academic certificates, NYSC discharge or exemption letters, and other necessary documents.
Each applicant is allowed to apply for just one position that matches their qualifications. Communication during the process will only be through email.
After applications close, shortlisted candidates will be contacted through the portal and given further instructions.
Some roles may involve taking a test.
Those invited will receive a QR code, which they must present on the day of the interview along with their original documents and writing materials.
Applicants who succeed will be informed through the portal and assigned to departments where they will begin documentation and onboarding.
Once their appointment is confirmed, their portal status will show “Employed.”
The government said the list of available jobs will be published by or before July 31, 2025, and urged interested persons to apply early.
