The House of Representatives is investigating the ₦1.06trn NG-CARES scheme over claims it failed to significantly aid vulnerable Nigerians.

Committee chair Abubakar Kusada said despite massive state allocations, impact remains minimal, pledging to recover any misused funds before the programme ends in December 2025.
