Reactions Trail Sani’s Comment After Dachomo Said He’s Been Offered Asylum But He Won’t Go Anywhere

Reactions have continued to emerge after former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, responded to comments made by Nigerian cleric Ezekiel Dachomo regarding his decision to remain in the country despite reported offers of asylum abroad.

Dachomo had earlier stated in a report published by Daily Post Nigeria that he had been offered asylum in several countries but had chosen to stay in Nigeria. According to the cleric, he was not intimidated by those he believed opposed him and insisted that he would continue to stand with his followers.

In his statement, the former lawmaker suggested that some of the comments attributed to Dachomo were provocative and potentially inflammatory.

Sani emphasized that individuals have the right to defend and promote their religious beliefs but warned against making statements that could undermine or defame the beliefs of others. His remarks appeared to call for caution and mutual respect in public discussions involving religion.
