Police Recover Body of Kogi Journalist Allegedly Killed by Colleague

The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the recovery of the body of photojournalist Ayo Aiyepeku, allegedly murdered by his colleague, Oluwapelumi Adebayo.

The corpse was found Sunday near the WAEC office in Lokoja after days of search. Police say Adebayo killed Aiyepeku on July 22 and dumped his body in a bush after storing it in a freezer. The victim’s family has called for justice, urging Governor Ododo and security agencies to ensure the killers are prosecuted.
