A serving Police Inspector attached to the Niger State Government House in Minna has reportedly taken his own life after being arrested over allegations of supplying arms and ammunition to bandits and other criminal elements operating within the state.
According to credible security sources, the officer was taken into custody following intelligence reports linking him to the illegal distribution of firearms to armed groups responsible for violent attacks, kidnappings, and general insecurity across parts of Niger State.
