Police Arrest Suspected Human Trafficker With Three Children

The Niger State Police Command has arrested Victoria Ebunoha Chukwumezie, 40, on suspicion of human trafficking after she was found with three young children believed to have been abducted.

Police spokesperson SP Wasiu Abiodun said the arrest occurred on November 5, 2025, at around 5 p.m. near Diko Junction. The suspect allegedly told authorities she took the children from Lambata and was transporting them to Abuja for “care.”

The children, identified as Kazeem (3 years), Ya’amadu (2 years), and Idris (2 years), have since been reunited with their parents.

“The children’s parents have been contacted, and the investigation is ongoing,” SP Abiodun stated. The operation was carried out by Gawu-Babangida Division police officers stationed at Diko Junction.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident and any potential links to wider human trafficking networks.
