The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has strongly condemned Nigeria’s political class over the worsening security situation in the country, warning that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu could face disgrace if urgent steps are not taken to address the nation’s growing challenges.
Reacting to the recent abduction of pupils and teachers in Oyo State, the outspoken cleric described many Nigerian politicians as “satanic,” accusing them of placing personal interests above the welfare and safety of citizens.
Primate Ayodele expressed deep concern over the increasing cases of kidnappings, killings, and insecurity across various parts of the country, noting that innocent Nigerians continue to suffer while political leaders engage in power struggles and partisan battles.
According to him, the alarming wave of school abductions and attacks on communities should serve as a wake-up call for the government at all levels. He warned that failure to decisively tackle insecurity could have severe political consequences for the current administration.
The cleric further cautioned President Tinubu against ignoring the cries of ordinary Nigerians, stressing that leadership requires more than political calculations and appointments. He urged the Federal Government to prioritize the protection of lives and property, saying that security remains the most important responsibility of any government.
Primate Ayodele also called on security agencies to intensify intelligence gathering and adopt more effective strategies to prevent future attacks, especially on schools and vulnerable communities.
His remarks come amid widespread outrage over the abduction of pupils and staff members from schools in the Ogbomoso axis of Oyo State, an incident that has reignited concerns about the safety of educational institutions across Nigeria.
