On Behalf of the Leadership and Members of Owo Youth General Assembly, we congratulate you on your emergence as the Governor Elect of Ondo State in the just concluded governorship elections held on Saturday 10th October 2020 on the platform of the All People’s Congress.
Your victory is a victory for all sons and daughters of Ogho kingdom irrespective of political affiliation as it shows that the hand of the Almighty God is truly on our dear state. Your emergence is a major pointer that politics today is tilting towards meritocracy and not god-fatherism. It gives us renewed faith in the system to see that the right person won.
You have always impressed us with your clear vision and ability to get the job done against the most formidable opposition.
We are confident that your influence will continue to encourage our proud tradition of involvement in worthwhile political causes. We at the Assembly pledge our further support. We look forward to productive cooperation between the Governor’s office and the Owo Youth General Assembly.
We trust that you will continue to work for improved youth programs in Ondo state. We have followed your record carefully, and we know you are the right person for the job. You ran a good, clean campaign against a formidable opponent. We think the public has finally seen the work you have done on behalf of the entire state. We assure you that your work has not gone unnoticed across the nooks and crannies of Ogho kingdom and the state at large. Your overwhelming victory is a clear mandate to move ahead with your program.
Despite what is happening in the rest of the country, it is apparent in the outcome of the election that this kingdom and Ondo state still supports your candidature and the party platform. That is why we reelected you, and we know you will continue to speak out for what is right.
One of the main reasons we voted for you is that you voiced your support for anti-crime legislation by championing the establishment of Amotekun across Yoruba land. I hope you will continue to speak loudly and clearly on this issue, so that we can make our streets safe once again.
We want to respectfully remind you that you are here to represent Ondo state not only your zone, hence, we passionately beg and appeal that you use your goodwill and honoured office to bring back the Senate to Owo/Ose federal constituency having stayed in Akoko for almost 12 years. We urge you to dare to be different. A lot of trust and confidence has been bestowed upon you and we expect that you do not disappoint.
