Ondo State Amotekun Corps Debunks Viral Reports Linking Commander to NDLEA Drug Case
The Ondo State Amotekun Corps has debunked viral social media reports alleging that its State Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, was involved in a drug-related case handled by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency involving one Ekujumi Julius and his wife.
In a statement signed by the Corps’ Public Relations Officer, S.A. Jimoh O. Adeniken, the security outfit described the reports and viral videos circulating online as false, misleading, and aimed at tarnishing the image of the Corps and its leadership.
The agency maintained that neither the Ondo State Amotekun Corps nor its Commander played any role in the arrest, prosecution, or legal proceedings of the case, stressing that the Corps remains committed to professionalism, justice, and collaboration with other security agencies in safeguarding lives and property across Ondo State.

ONDO STATE AMOTEKUN CORPS DEBUNKED VIRAL SOCIAL MEDIA REPORTS
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, wishes to use this medium to debunk and address the misleading information currently circulating on social media regarding the alleged involvement of the Ondo State Amotekun Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, in a drug-related case between the NDLEA versus Ekujumi Julius and his wife.
The Corps categorically states that neither the Ondo State Amotekun Corps nor the State Commander had any involvement in their arrest and prosecution being portrayed by their sponsors in the viral videos and reports being circulated online.
At no point did the Ondo State Amotekun Corps interfere with or influence the legal proceedings by the NDLEA.
The Corps therefore urges members of the public to disregard the false and misleading narration in the viral videos, commentaries, and reports aimed at tarnishing the image and reputation of the Ondo State Amotekun Corps and its Commander.
Ondo State Amotekun remains committed to professionalism, justice, the rule of law, and the protection of lives and property across the state. The Corps will continue to work collaboratively with other security agencies in maintaining peace and security within Ondo State.
