Ogun Police arrest seven suspects, recover stolen Toyota Venza, firearms
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested seven suspects for offences including armed robbery, “One-Chance” robbery, fraud, unlawful possession of firearms, and cultism.
The suspects — Bola Salau (42), Segun Balogun (25), Emmanuel Friday, Tunde Abioye, Ankpa James, Tunde Ogunseye (41), and Owodunni Seun (36) — were apprehended through intelligence-led operations in Ilaro, Ibafo, Mowe, Adatan, and Ode-Remo.
Recovered items include one stolen Toyota Venza, three firearms (two locally fabricated pistols and one Dane gun), a Toyota Camry used in “One-Chance” robbery, 17 stolen mobile phones, one HP EliteBook laptop, and ₦1.1 million suspected to be proceeds of fraud.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, commended the operatives and reiterated the Command’s commitment to intelligence-led policing and crime prevention across the state.
