Isreal Afeare, popularly known as Isreal DMW and an aide to singer Davido, has responded to comments by Kassy Chukwu, an aide to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, regarding the singer’s alleged ban from performing in the state.
In a newly surfaced video, Chukwu claimed that Davido had been banned from performing in Edo State following what he described as repeated insults directed at the governor.
The governor’s aide also reportedly warned that if the singer visited the state for a performance, local youths would confront him.
Isreal DMW Rejects Alleged Ban
Reacting to the remarks, Isreal DMW, who is from Edo State, dismissed the alleged ban and argued that nobody could prevent Davido from entering the state.
He also pointed out that Edo State is Davido’s maternal home.
He wrote:
