NAF publishes successful candidates for recruitment exercise
The Nigerian Air Force has begun the next phase of its 2025 recruitment exercise, inviting candidates who passed the Zonal General Aptitude Test to attend the Selection Board Interview for the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Director of Public Relations and Information at the Air Force Headquarters, Ehimen Ejodame, confirmed that the names of qualified applicants have been published on the service’s recruitment portal.
According to the Air Force, shortlisted applicants are expected to appear before the selection board at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna.
The interview process is scheduled to run from April 27 to June 13, 2026, covering candidates for both trades and non-trade positions.
Ejodame said the invitation followed the aptitude test conducted nationwide late last year, stressing that only candidates who met the required standards progressed to the interview stage.
He explained that the exercise remains a crucial step in determining those who will proceed to the next phase of military training.
“Applicants who successfully passed the aptitude test are now required to attend the Selection Board Interview as part of the recruitment process into Basic Military Training Course 46/2025,” he said.
The Air Force further advised all shortlisted candidates to carefully check their batch schedules on the recruitment portal and report on their assigned dates.
Officials warned that arriving outside the designated timeframe would automatically lead to disqualification.
“Candidates must strictly follow the schedule assigned to them. Anyone who fails to appear on the specified date will lose the opportunity to participate in the interview,” Ejodame stated.
Authorities also reiterated that the recruitment exercise does not require any payment, urging applicants to remain cautious of individuals or groups seeking money in exchange for assistance.
“The Nigerian Air Force does not charge any fee for recruitment at any stage. Applicants should disregard requests for payment and report such approaches to the appropriate authorities,” the spokesperson added.
More than 20,000 applicants reportedly took part in the Zonal General Aptitude Test conducted in December 2025.
The examination was held across multiple Air Force centres nationwide, including Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt and Ikeja.
Officials said the widespread of test locations was designed to promote accessibility and equal participation for candidates across the country.
Ejodame emphasised that the service remains committed to maintaining transparency and merit in its recruitment process.
“Our goal is to attract capable individuals who meet the highest standards required for military service.
“Selecting personnel based on merit remains central to strengthening the operational capacity of the Air Force,” he said.
