According to a recent video by The Morayo Show on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Dr. Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, has stated that no Christian has been marginalized under the current administration—contrary to fears raised during the 2023 election campaign.
Speaking during an interview on Joy Tribe, Bwala addressed his earlier opposition to the Muslim-Muslim ticket, explaining that he left the All Progressives Congress (APC) over concerns that Christians, particularly in Northern Nigeria, would be disenfranchised.
“After the election, we waited for one year to assess President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. What I feared at that time never happened. No Christian was disenfranchised. No Christian was marginalized. Conversely, his administration has recorded the highest number of Christian appointments compared to the previous administration,” Bwala stated.
He defended his return to the APC, describing political party affiliation as a platform for attaining power rather than a matter of character. Bwala also addressed criticisms of inconsistency, citing examples of prominent political figures who have changed parties, including US President Donald Trump.
The Special Adviser further called on Nigerians to hold state governors and local government chairmen accountable for insecurity challenges, emphasizing that funds allocated for security and infrastructure must be properly utilized.
