A TEXT OF PRESS STATEMENT DELIVERED AT THE CONGRESS OF NANS KADUNA, PASSING A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE OF COMRADE SALIHU ABDULHAMID DEMBOS, DIRECTOR GENERAL, NIGERIA TELEVISION AUTHORITY.
The leadership of NANS Kaduna converged here today at this great venue to unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos. This vote of confidence is in recognition of his outstanding service and sacrifice towards the country’s television station.
Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and dedication in his role as the Director General of NTA. Under his guidance, the television station has witnessed significant improvements in its programming, production quality, and overall performance.
His commitment to promoting national unity, disseminating accurate information, and providing a platform for diverse voices to be heard is commendable. Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos has consistently upheld the principles of professionalism, integrity, and fairness in his leadership of NTA.
Furthermore, his efforts in ensuring that NTA remains a reliable source of news and entertainment for Nigerians, both within the country and in the diaspora, have not gone unnoticed. His strategic initiatives and innovative approaches have contributed to the growth and relevance of NTA in the digital age.
The leadership of NANS Kaduna recognizes and appreciates Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos’ selfless service and sacrifices towards the development of NTA. This countless transformative gesture earned him another tenure as the helmsman of our beloved Nation’s Television station.
We also appreciate him for appointing one of our own, an indigene of Kaduna state and immediate Secretary of NANS, Comrade Usman Baba as his Special Assistant on Students Matters, this kind gesture extended to us deserves commendation.
We urge the D.G to continue on this path of making NTA achieve a an enviable feat.
