Undeterred by threats of consequences from Nigeria’s core North, Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday, signed the anti-open grazing bill.

The Lagos house of assembly had on September 9th, passed the bill and transmitted it to the governor for assent. The new law will criminalize open grazing by herders across the state.
