Just In : Dr Segun Oyebolu Emerge as Ondo SDP Governorship Candidate
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo state has elected Dr. Segun Oyebolu as it’s candidate, ahead of the November 16th governorship election schedule to hold in the state.
At the party’s primary election held in the party state Secretariat located at 82,OYEMEKUN ROAD Akure, the Ondo state capital city. Sixty(60) delegates, drawn from the 18 local government areas of the state gathered to vote their preferred candidates on Saturday.
59votes were counted validly casted for the Ondo State born IT guru,while only a vote was wrongly casted.
In his address, the chairman of the electoral panel, Bar. Joseph Achille Abu,who is also the National Organizing Secretary of the party expressed satisfaction in the turnout of party delegates from across the eighteen local governments of the state.Ge subsequently declared the result of the election in the presence of all .
Barrister Joe Abu also commended the state working committee of the party in Ondo state for giving the party a befitting secretariat in the state,and charged them to continue to support the party in all
INEC officials and Policemen were in attendance to monitor the election process and ensure that it’s in compliance with the Nigeria Electoral act as amended.
While delivering his acceptance speech tagged IYAYITOGE LONDO STATE, the candidate of the party, Dr Segun Oyebolu ,an international IT specialist appreciated all the leaders of the party and delegates who came from afar and within without been induced by monetary compensation .
He charged them to go back to their various wards and continue to build the numerical strenght of the party and promised to build a formidable campaign team that will dislodge the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the state, and build a new ondo state.
He also assured the party leaders that his administration will bring back the good old days of the state.
