Imo CPC to Hold 2022 Consumer’s Day March 15 in Grand Style.

As the world is getting ready for 2022 world consumer’s day celebration, the Imo state consumer protection council under the leadership of Hon. Mrs Obioma Okafor has announced it readiness to join the globe in the celebration of all the consumers of goods and services in the state on 15th March, 2022.

The quest for a fair and stable digital finance accross the world has led to the choice of “Fair Digital Finance” as the theme for this year’s World Consumer Rights Day Celebration.

Meanwhile, the governor of Imo state Senator Hope Uzodimma will used the occasion to raise more awareness on digital finance and it’s sustainability in imo State.

The Director General, Imo State Consumer Protection Council, CPC Hon. Mrs Obioma Okafor said during this occasion, the state government will highlight the need for a fair, safe, and sustainable digital finance and marketing which has been threatened in recent times.

She noted that Imo State Consumer Protection Council has witnessed tremendous transformation within the two years of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s 3R administration in imo State.

According to the DG, This year’s WCRD is seen as a milestone event as it coincides with two years of rebirth of lmo CPC and the gift of 2,700 Infinix android smartphones to lmo youths by His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma through the office of his Special Adviser on social media.

The Governor has sincerely displayed commitment in supporting Imo youths to take advantage of amazing opportunities available on the social media and digital finance.

He has assured imolites that his government will continue to take action to protect consumers, eliminate all forms of unwholesome products and by extension maintain fair digital financial services.

Therefore, it’s expected that all Imo citizens, both young and old, all media organisations, financial institutions and religious bodies will attend and support this programme.
