I have No reason to Look back at APC Aregbesola Denies APC Return Rumours, Says He’s Fully Committed to ADC Ahead of 2027

Rauf Aregbesola, National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has dismissed reports that he plans to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC)

He called the claims “baseless and laughable” and said he has “no reason whatsoever to look back since leaving the APC over 3 years ago.

At an ADC leadership and stakeholders’ meeting in Ilesa, Osun State on Sunday, attended by members from all 332 wards. He also used the meeting to present ADC’s governorship candidate for the Aug 15 Osun election, Dr. Najeem Salaam

Aregbesola said the APC has “completely abandoned the foundational vision and people-oriented ideals” on which it was built. He accused the party of neglecting welfare and security, which he calls the core responsibilities of government.

He also said he was expelled without due process after trying to reform the party from within.

Aregbesola said I Fully committed to ADC: He said the party has continued to grow despite attempts to frustrate it.
– He urged ADC members to intensify grassroots mobilization and predicted a victorious outing for ADC

APC in Lagos has already dismissed his 2027 ambitions, saying ADC won’t threaten its hold on Lagos or Aso Rock.
