Ganduje Reveals His Next Political Move In His Response To Governor Abba Kabir Reported Defection To APC
Former governor of Kano state and national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje has responded to the political development in Kano state involving the state’s governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf and the members of the Kwankwasiyya political movement.
Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf is reported to have perfected plans to move from his current political party, New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) alongside with prominent members of his government and a chunk of the erstwhile ardent supporters of former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC); a party Dr. Ganduje was its national chairman barely a year ago.
In a video posted on X (Twitter) by Dr. Ganduje’s supporter, Suleiman Uwaisu Idris, the immediate past national chairman of APC taunted governor Abba Kabir and the entire leadership of the Kwankwasiyya, describing them as deceivers who are desperate to destabilize the APC structure in Kano State for their political interest.
Ganduje who spoke entirely in Hausa boasted that he and his followers are not perturbed about the political conspiracy from the Kwankwasiyya.
He boasted further that he is not oblivious to such political manoeuvering and the hidden motive behind the governor’s defection to the APC. He thereafter vowed that in as much the governor and the members of the Kwankwasiyya want to execute their plot, he is fully prepared to withstand, sabotage, and defeat their mission in the manner insecticide eliminates pests.
“They want to come in order to deceive us and remove us from the APC. They should know that we have ‘Fiya Fiya’ -a powerful insecticide that eliminate pests”, Ganduje stated.
While Ganduje insinuated that governor Abba Kabir is executing the political conspiracy of his principal and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, there are speculations on the Nigeria’s social media community that the relationship between governor Abba Kabir and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has brokendown.
Also, a few of the governors supporters have suggested that the governor’s switch from the NNPP to the APC is to break away from the political grip of his political godfather, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
It also reported that the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is not at loggerhead with the governor and had infact, endorsed his switch to the APC at the expense of the NNPP.
