Ex-House of Assembly member kidnapped by Gunmen

A former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Maruf Musa, has been reportedly abducted by suspected kidnappers at Ibiade, in Ogun Waterside Local Government area of the State.

Recall that Musa was a member of the sixth assembly of the state.

The former lawmaker was abducted during a Muslim prayer at 7:00 PM, in a mosque located within his compound, on Tuesday.

A source informed TRIBUNE Online that the former lawmaker was taken away, despite effort by residents to rescue him from the hoodlums.

The suspected kidnappers were reported to have shot sporadically to scare residents from making effort to attack them.

Our correspondent learnt that a handful of residents sustained injuries as a result of the gunshots.

There are no official information yet about the incident at the time of filing this report.
