Bandits Attack Kwara Community, Kill One, Abduct Two In Edu LGA

Suspected bandits on Thursday stormed Lema community in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing one unidentified person and abducting two others.

Afrika Eyes gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of the day, throwing the community into panic.

Eyewitnesses said the armed assailants invaded the area and opened fire, killing one victim instantly before whisking away two others to an unknown location.

Residents have called on security agencies to intervene urgently, warning that the attackers were still believed to be within the community’s vicinity.

Kwara State has in recent months witnessed a disturbing surge in kidnapping cases and ransom demands, particularly in the northern and southern parts of the state.
