Apostle Ayodele David-Adesua Defends NDC, Calls Court Ruling a Travesty of Justice

The Ekiti State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has strongly criticized a recent Federal High Court judgment delivered in Lokoja, describing it as an attempt to frustrate the party’s registration and prevent the emergence of a viable political alternative in Nigeria.
In a statement issued to our heritage Reporter online on June 29, 2026, Apostle Ayodele David-Adesua, a leader of the party in Ekiti State, alleged that the ruling contradicts an earlier court order directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the NDC.
Despite the legal setback, the party expressed confidence in its future, insisting that its political movement remains unstoppable and poised to play a significant role in Nigeria’s 2027 general election

NDC CONDEMNS MILITOCRATIC APC’S JUDICIAL OBSTRUCTION, DECLARES: NDC HAS COME TO STAY
The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Ekiti State Chapter strongly condemns the judgement of Friday, June 26, 2026, by a Federal High Court in Lokoja, which sought to frustrate the registration of the NDC.
This ruling is not only uncalled for, it is a clear travesty of justice and another attempt by the ruling APC’s militocratic system to block every credible alternative from emerging. It contradicts an earlier order by the same court directing INEC to register the NDC. Nigerians see through this intimidation.
Let it be known: *The NDC has come to stay.* Our movement is divinely ordained by God to bring the much-desired change that Nigerians have been yearning for. No court, no ruling party, and no system of oppression can stop a mandate that God Himself has set in motion.
To our National Leadership under *His Excellency, Senator Seriake Dickson*, I say: Do not be moved by this ruling. Remain steadfast and stubbornly minded. This is exactly the kind of resistance that precedes breakthrough. It takes such resolve to democratically chase out this militocratic APC government and restore power to the people.
I urge all NDC members, leaders, and supporters in Ekiti and across Nigeria to remain calm, resolute, and expectant. This is a temporary distraction. Victory is certain. By God’s grace and the will of the people, the NDC will carry the day in 2027.

Signed,
Apostle Ayodele David-Adesua
