A 26-year-old woman has been arrested in Ikot Ekpene following an alleged assault on her boyfriend, police have confirmed.

According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred on Valentine’s Day after the man attempted to express affection by gifting her a teddy bear. Rather than romance, the gesture reportedly sparked a confrontation that escalated into a physical attack.

Police sources say the suspect is currently in custody while investigations continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. No official statement has yet been released on possible charges.
