Every year, millions of children are sexually molested.
Because females are the proverbial weaker vessels, more attention is paid to abuses they face, leaving the boy child neglected.
The society in which we live put a lot of burden on the boy child- he shouldn’t be vulnerable physically, mentally or emotionally.
This mindset has gone along way in affecting how the boy child sexual molestation is seen and treated as a criminal offence by both the family and the larger society.
According to the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund report in 2015, one in ten boys in Nigeria experience sexual abuse before the age of 18.
Among those who carry molest these children are people they know and or trust, especially family members.
Shot in Awka Anambra state Nigeria, Abuse Of Right, a BN MEDIA production, starring Big Man Favour, Dimma Rowlands, Adajesus Iyiegbu, Cyriacus Ozoemena and Blessing Chinenye David, based on a novel of same title by Blessing Chinenye David, scripted and directed by Benneth Nwankwo follows the life of a young boy, Michael, neglected by his parents due to their high demanding jobs, leaving him at the mercy of, Bianca, his Aunt.
AOL, will premiere at Annabel Cinemas Awka Anambra state on February 14th 2021.
Expected guests are Nollywood Actors: Kanayo O Kanayo and Bob Manuel Udokwu, Chief Uche Nworah (CEO /MD Anambra State Broadcasting, Service), Sir Chuka Nnabuife (CEO Anambra State Printing Cooperation), and amongst others.
The event will kick off at 2pm with the official public presentation of the book, Abuse of Right.
