President Tinubu To Commission Projects In Akwa-Ibom, Attend APC Rally In Rivers State

According to a statement issued on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu will depart Abuja on Friday, November 6, for Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

President Bola Tinubu is set to visit Akwa Ibom and Rivers states on Friday and Saturday, respectively, to commission airport and roads, and participate in an All Progressives Congress (APC) political rally.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu will depart Abuja on Friday, November 6, for Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

During the visit, the President is expected to commission projects in the state, including the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.

Other projects scheduled for commissioning include the Airport-Okopedi Road, which connects communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

Tinubu will also commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.

Onanuga stated that Governor Umo Eno had declared Friday a work-free day across the state to enable residents to participate in welcoming the President.

Apart from commissioning the projects, Tinubu is expected to attend a political rally in the state as part of his administration’s political engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections.

On Saturday, November 7, the President will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he is scheduled to participate in an APC rally.

According to the Presidency, the Rivers rally will be Tinubu’s third political rally since he formally launched his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.

The Presidency said the two-state visits would also provide opportunities for the President to engage political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while promoting unity, political stability and national development.
