Man alleges University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital denied his brother emergency treatment at 2 a.m. over lack of BP monitor
A Nigerian man has accused the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) of denying his brother medical attention during an emergency visit in the early hours of the morning.

According to the man, he took his brother to the hospital’s emergency ward at about 2 a.m., hoping he would receive urgent medical care.
However, he claimed they were turned away because the hospital had no blood pressure monitor available to check his brother’s blood pressure.
He alleged that hospital staff asked them to return at daybreak instead of attending to his brother immediately.
