“This Country Has No Conscience” – Odumeje Mocks Government For Celebrating Maintenance Of 1950s Onitsha Head Bridge

Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has criticised the government over what he described as the excessive celebration of the Onitsha Head Bridge in Anambra State.
In a viral video, the prophet questioned why the maintenance of the decades-old bridge was being presented as a major achievement, warning those celebrating it that “Holy Ghost will kpaiii you there.”

Odumeje voiced his displeasure in a viral video circulating on social media, questioning why the maintenance of the decades-old bridge was being widely celebrated.

 

The prophet warned people against joining the celebration, arguing that the structure had existed for several decades and should not be presented as though it were newly constructed.

“If I see any of you at Onitsha Head Bridge celebrating that you maintained a 1950s bridge for the South-East, Holy Ghost will kpaiii you there. This country has no conscience.

“If you see the way the government is showing this bridge everywhere on the internet, you will think it is a bridge built newly, without knowing that it is a bridge built years ago.

Odumeje further compared the situation to celebrating an old car after merely repainting it.

“Imagine someone celebrating his car that he parked for over 50 years after repainting it.”

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users supporting his criticism while others disagreed with his position.
