Troops detain man for allegedly displaying Biafra flag in Abia
Troops of the 144 Battalion have arrested a man suspected to be a member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) during a routine patrol in Aba South Local Government Area of Abia State.

Security sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 4:40 p.m. on September 4 along the CKC area of Asa Road in Aba.
According to the sources, the suspect was allegedly waving a Biafra flag and chanting, “Biafra will be free,” when he was intercepted by the soldiers.
The suspect has been taken into military custody, where he is undergoing further investigation before appropriate action is taken, the sources added.
