LAGOS: Comedian and content creator Carter Efe has come out publicly to confront online activist VeryDarkMan, telling him to stop dragging Mohbad’s name into his online activities.

In a video making rounds online, Carter Efe said VeryDarkMan first announced a Mohbad investigation back in 2023, but according to him, nothing concrete has come out of it since then. He accused VeryDarkMan of using the case to build his own name and pull in money from YouTube and Facebook content, while other people connected to the case keep getting dragged into the matter.

Carter Efe did not stop there. He claimed VeryDarkMan even used Mohbad’s case to secure a house in Abuja, a claim that has since spread fast across social media, with fans and fellow content creators sharing their reactions.

The comedian ended his message with an emotional appeal, asking VeryDarkMan to end the investigation entirely so that Mohbad can finally rest in peace.

Mohbad, the late singer whose sudden death in 2023 shook the Nigerian entertainment industry, remains a sensitive subject for many Nigerians. His case has continued to generate strong reactions online, with different public figures accused of either seeking justice for him or using his name for personal gain.

Sources close to the entertainment industry told Extra News Nigeria that reactions to Carter Efe’s warning have been mixed, with some backing his call for VeryDarkMan to step back, and others insisting the investigation should continue until the truth comes out.
