“I married an Okada man. He used to be an Okada man, but now he’s the CEO of King Flash Photography. He didn’t look like it when I married him.
If I had married in 2011 or 2008, when I wanted to marry initially, I would have married someone abroad.
We did introduction and all, but that was the wrong choice for me. And that’s what this generation is looking at. They want to marry someone that is well-made.
When I met my husband, even our wedding, he could not afford it. I was the one that said, ‘Don’t worry, God will do it.’ We did what we could do. He couldn’t afford anything at that point in time. He had nothing. He was living inside Lungu in Suleja.
But today now, God has helped us. We have houses, not just a house in Abuja, but outside Abuja, everywhere.
And God has been faithful in 15 years. One advice I’ll give to the younger generation is, don’t marry a man because of what you’re seeing…”
