Atiku Raises Alarm Over Mysterious Credit Alert, Questions Leak of Private Bank Details

Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has raised concerns after an unknown individual allegedly transferred money into one of his private bank accounts with the narration “Contribution Electioneering Campaign.”

In a statement by his spokesman, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said neither he nor his campaign solicited or authorised the payment, stressing that the account is a private one whose details are not publicly known.

The former Vice President questioned how unknown persons obtained his confidential banking information, warning that if the private account details of a former Vice President could be accessed, then the financial privacy of every Nigerian could be at risk.

Atiku also called on security agencies to investigate the incident, describing it as one of several suspicious developments ahead of the 2027 general election.
