Wike Sets Up Committee to Meet Fubara on Rainbow Coalition Integration
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has revealed that a committee headed by former federal lawmaker Magnus Abe has been established to engage Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking during his monthly media chat with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Wike said the committee’s mandate is to discuss how Governor Fubara and his supporters can be integrated into the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.
According to the minister, Governor Fubara has already provided a date for the meeting. Wike described the development as a positive sign of progress for the state.
Wike also addressed the political crisis that previously rocked Rivers State, insisting that he did not lose anything during the turmoil. He explained that considerations of political survival and relevance influenced the decision not to support Fubara for a second term.
The FCT Minister’s comments come amid ongoing efforts to resolve lingering political differences in Rivers State and rebuild alliances within the state’s political landscape.
