2027 Elections: New Digital Platform, Democracy Tracka Set to Enhance Electoral Transparency and Democratic Accountability
As part of its initiatives to promote technology-driven election monitoring and democratic process, GreenCarpet Innovation Media is set to launch a new digital platform in order to engage voters and provide intelligence reports as we approach the 2027 general elections. The forthcoming launch of Democracy Tracka, an independent election intelligence, democratic governance and media advocacy platform designed to provide citizens with credible, timely and data-driven information on elections, governance and public accountability, will shape future elections in the country.
The engagement platform, which will be officially unveiled by its Executive Director, Yinka Richards, in collaboration with strategic partners and democracy stakeholders, is expected to serve as a one-stop digital hub for election observation, candidate activity tracking, voter education, civic engagement and governance monitoring.
According to the team, Democracy Tracka was conceived to strengthen democratic institutions by empowering citizens with verified information before, during, and after elections.
Speaking ahead of the launch, the Richards, described the initiative as a major innovation that will bridge the information gap between voters, candidates, political parties and democratic institutions.

The platform will provide real-time updates on the activities, campaigns, manifesto and public engagements of candidates from registered political parties, enabling voters to make informed electoral decisions based on verified information rather than misinformation or political propaganda.
Beyond election coverage, Democracy Tracka will offer a comprehensive suite of democracy-support services, including election observation and reporting, voter education campaigns, governance performance monitoring, policy analysis, public opinion surveys, election result intelligence, fact-checking, civic technology solutions, issue-based political debates, democracy research, leadership performance scorecards, and strategic reports on electoral integrity and democratic governance.
The organization also plans to publish periodic reports, including the State of Democracy Report, Governance Performance Index, Election Integrity Report, and Candidate Performance Tracker, providing evidence-based assessments of democratic progress and institutional performance.
The Democracy Tracka mobile application will allow users to receive breaking election alerts, monitor campaign activities, report electoral incidents with geo-tagged evidence, follow constituency-specific developments, participate in civic surveys, and engage with interactive dashboards.
According to the project team, the platform will work closely with civil society organizations, media institutions, election observers, policy experts, and technology partners to strengthen democratic accountability through credible data collection and independent research.
