Graduate Couple Among Those K!lled in Anambra Hostel C0llapse

Several people d!£d after the Elite 5-Star Hostel in Amaokpala, near Federal Polytechnic Oko, collapsed on Sunday night, July 26, 2026.

Among the victims are Vivian Chinedum and her boyfriend, Ifeanyi Stanley, both graduates of the polytechnic.

Vivian worked as a baker, while Ifeanyi, popularly known as Don Cash, distributed Moniepoint PoS machines.

It was gathered that Ifeanyi had gone to visit Vivian at the hostel around 10:45pm when the building, said to have about 60 rooms, caved in.

The incident has thrown friends and former classmates into mourning. On Facebook, tributes have continued to pour in for the couple.

One Ganobi Precious Ifeanyichukwu described Vivian and Ifeanyi as hardworking and promising young people who were building a future together.
