Viral Video: Olofa-in-Council Reportedly Removes Elemoso Olowa of Offa

Chief Usman Ayilara, the Elemoso Olowa of Offa, has reportedly been removed from office by the Olofa-in-Council following its meeting held on Monday, July 27, 2026.

The reported decision is said to be linked to allegations that the traditional chief recorded and leaked a viral video involving the Olofa of Offa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Oloyede, Okikiola Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I, and the Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Lola Ashiru.

In the widely circulated video, the Olofa was purportedly heard expressing opposition to the senator, a development that has since generated widespread public attention and reactions.
