“THIS IS NOT YOUR CHURCH; IT IS HIS CHURCH.” — BISHOP OYEDEPO TELLS KOREDE KOMAIYA

Bishop David Oyedepo has reminded Pastor Korede Komaiya and members of Master’s City that the church belongs entirely to God.

Speaking directly to Pastor Komaiya, his wife and the congregation, Bishop Oyedepo said:

“My son, this is not your church. My daughter, this is not your church. Members of Master’s City, this is not your church. This is His church.”

He questioned where the glory needed to fill the church would come from if it were regarded as belonging to a person.

According to him, God cannot merely be treated as a tenant in His own church.

“God is too big to be a tenant. He either owns it, or don’t look for Him there,” he said.

Bishop Oyedepo further stated that God does not share His glory, explaining that they had gathered to return all the glory to Him.

“This is the doing of the Lord, and we are not hiding it. We have come to ascribe the glory back to Him,” he added.

His message centred on recognising God as the true owner of the church and giving Him all the glory for what has been accomplished.
