Princess Kemisola Adesanya Seeks Support, Pledges Quality Representation for Akure North/South

…..Vows to Restore Akure’s Lost Pride at the Green Chamber….

The House of Representatives candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) for Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency, Princess Kemisola Adesanya, an Akure Princess and a former two-term member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Akure South Constituency I, has expressed unwavering confidence in her capacity, experience, and team as she seeks to represent the people of Akure North/South Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber in 2027.

Princess Adesanya lamented what she described as the leadership vacuum that has characterised the constituency’s representation at the National Assembly over the years. According to her, this unfortunate situation has been fuelled by individuals who are disconnected from the realities, aspirations, and genuine needs of the people of Akure, thereby lacking the competence and commitment required to provide quality representation.

She maintained that Akure has, in recent years, experienced a series of ineffective representations at the Green Chamber, a development she said has subjected the constituency to stagnation, slowed development, and deprived the people of meaningful federal interventions.

Calling on the people of Akure North and South, Princess Adesanya described the 2027 general election as another golden opportunity for constituents to reclaim their mandate and entrust it to a leader with proven capacity, an impressive record of service, genuine passion for the people, and a clear determination to deliver visible and sustainable development within a short period.

Speaking on her vision, she stated that her blueprint for a greater Akure is comprehensive, practical, and people-centred.

“For eight (8) good years, the people of Akure entrusted me with the mandate to serve in the Ondo State House of Assembly, and I delivered. Our impact was felt across different sectors of the constituency, and the records remain intact, untainted, and indisputable. Despite limited resources, every project we embarked upon was driven by intentionality, and we ensured that each one was successfully completed. We left no project abandoned.”

Princess Adesanya further noted that her immediate focus is to restore Akure’s lost pride through purposeful and effective representation at the Green Chamber.

According to her:
“Akure has been grossly underrepresented over the years, especially in the House of Representatives. As the state capital and the pride of Ondo State, Akure deserves far better. We will represent our people with intentionality, operate an open-door policy, remain accessible, and confront the pressing needs of our constituents head-on.”

She stressed that education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and youth development would form the cornerstone of her legislative agenda.

“I understand that many of our primary and secondary schools have suffered neglect for far too long. I also know that our hospitals have not received the level of intervention they deserve, leaving patients and healthcare workers with enormous challenges.

“Our traders have equally been denied meaningful support that could help their businesses thrive, while our youths have continued to suffer neglect. Instead of being empowered, many have merely been used as political tools to settle personal scores and advance selfish interests.

“My greatest passion is our youth. We will expose them to opportunities, empower them with the right skills and platforms, and position them to become responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to themselves, the government, and the nation.”

Princess Adesanya expressed confidence that the people of Akure North and South are prepared to reject mediocrity and embrace competent, visionary, and accountable leadership.

“I believe the people are ready to reclaim their constituency from mediocrity and entrust it to someone who will preserve, protect, and defend the mandate with integrity and sincerity,” she said.

She further appreciated the overwhelming reception she has continued to receive across the federal constituency, describing it as a strong indication that the people are eager for a new era of purposeful representation.

“We are ready for the task ahead. The warmth, acceptance, and overwhelming support we have received from the people continue to inspire us. Akure has never demonstrated this level of determination for quality leadership. We are humbled by this confidence, and we shall not betray the trust of our people.”

Princess Adesanya therefore called on all well-meaning sons and daughters of Akure, traditional and political leaders, traders’ associations, interest groups, student bodies, artisans, professionals, community stakeholders, residents, political parties, veterans, and everyone committed to the rapid growth and sustainable development of Akure North and South Federal Constituency to rally behind her aspiration.

She urged the electorate to seize the opportunity of electing “a woman of conscience” who would provide purposeful, responsive, and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.

“I, Princess Kemisola Adesanya, candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), respectfully call on every resident and stakeholder in Akure North and South Federal Constituency to join this movement for a greater Akure. Together, let us build a constituency that works for everyone. I humbly solicit your support and your votes for the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in the 2027 General Election.”
