President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited the Abuja residence of Elder Mrs. Eunice Uzor Kalu, the mother of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in September 2022 during his presidential campaign During this high-profile political courtesy visit, Tinubu performed a “Dobale” (the traditional Yoruba sign of respect where a man prostrates or bows deeply) to greet her as an elder.

Tinubu bowed deeply to greet the matriarch, a traditional gesture widely reported across Nigerian media platforms. He was accompanied by his Chief Of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu himself.

The visit aimed to build a strategic political alliance and gain support from key regional figures in the South-East ahead of the 2023 general elections.
